LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 2009--
AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of
professional technical and management support services for government
and commercial clients around the world, announced today that Raymond
(Ray) W. Holdsworth, Jr., AECOM vice chairman, plans to retire on Dec.
4, 2009.
Holdsworth has been an integral part of the AECOM leadership team since
the early years of the company. Prior to being named vice chairman of
AECOM in 2005, Holdsworth served as AECOM’s president, leading growth,
profitability and diversification activities that significantly
broadened AECOM’s business lines and geographic reach. He previously
served as a group chief executive and, prior to that, as president of
DMJM, an AECOM legacy company. Holdsworth joined the AECOM corporate
team in 1992, after beginning his career with DMJM in 1981.
“Ray’s dedicated service to AECOM has made a significant and lasting
impact on our company,” said AECOM President and Chief Executive Officer
John M. Dionisio. “As AECOM achieved new levels of growth and success,
Ray has led a number of critical initiatives for our company. While Ray
will be stepping away from day-to-day responsibilities, he will continue
to work with us in a consulting role. With more than 30 years of
industry experience, Ray will continue to provide valuable input and
advice on our company’s critical strategic initiatives.”
Holdsworth has served numerous public and industry organizations during
his career at AECOM. He has been a director of the California Chamber of
Commerce for over 10 years, seven of those on its executive committee,
and he was its chairman in 2003 when the chamber endorsed current
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger – the first time the chamber
endorsed a constitutional officer in its 114-year history. Holdsworth,
who is a trustee of the California State University System, also served
as chairman of the Los Angeles Economic Development Corp. from 2007 to
2009. In addition, he was recently awarded the University of Arizona
Centennial Engineering Department Award, and was its inaugural speaker
on Nov. 6, 2009.
“On behalf of all AECOM’s staff around the world, we are deeply
appreciative of Ray’s contributions,” Dionisio said. “I look forward to
working with Ray in his advisory position in the future as he spends
some well-deserved time with his wife, children and grandchildren.”
