New firm to become part of AECOM International Development
LOS ANGELES, Jan 14, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has acquired The Services Group (TSG), an Arlington, Virginia-based, international development services firm.
With the addition of TSG to AECOM as a catalyst, AECOM is launching AECOM International Development. With headquarters in Washington, D.C., AECOM International Development specializes in providing support services in emerging market regions of the world to U.S. government agencies, as well as multilateral and bilateral donors and private sector clients globally.
AECOM International Development serves as the focal point for AECOM's sustainable development services in the fast-growing emerging markets sector. AECOM International Development currently has more than 400 professionals working in 60 nations worldwide in the areas of economic growth; environmental protection; industrial and regional area development; democracy and governance; humanitarian response and socioeconomic stabilization; infrastructure; and facilities.
