|AECOM Joint Venture Wins US$18-Million Contract to Provide Environmental, Health and Safety Services for NYCDEP|
Contract is part of US$16-billion capital construction program
LOS ANGELES, Apr 16, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has won a three-year, $18-million contract to provide environmental, health and safety (EH&S) management services for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP). AECOM will perform the work as part of a joint venture with American Safety Consultants/Allied North America.
The project is a continuation of the joint venture's EH&S oversight services for all NYCDEP projects throughout New York City and parts of upstate New York until 2012. The contract is part of NYCDEP's $16-billion capital construction program.
Professionals from AECOM and its partner will be responsible for providing all aspects of EH&S oversight related to NYCDEP Bureau of Engineering Design construction projects. For each project, AECOM will provide professional services to assist with health and safety requirements, including training, health and safety plans, OSHA reporting and statistics, compliance audits, and EH&S investigations.
