AECOM wins $149-million port project in Doha, Qatar

Six-year program management contract for US$7-billion port development project showcases AECOM's global expertise

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 2008--AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has been awarded a six-year, $149.3 million contract to provide program management services to the New Doha Port project in Qatar.

Undertaken by the Government of Qatar, the US$7-billion construction value port project is currently the world's largest "greenfield" port-development project. The project is intended to better position Qatar to benefit from the expected regional growth in container and vehicle carrier traffic as well as general cargo traffic.
