|AECOM announces appointment of chief sustainability officer to support its growing business|
LOS ANGELES, Sep 07, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced a key executive appointment today as the company continues to grow its business globally.
Gary Lawrence has joined the company as vice president and chief sustainability officer. Lawrence will serve as the visionary for AECOM's sustainability operations, managing the company's breadth of resources and skills in sustainability for projects across the company.

Lawrence joins AECOM from Arup, a global firm of consulting engineers, designers, planners and project managers, where he served as urban strategies leader. His 20 years of global sustainability experience also include serving as advisor to U.S. President Clinton's Administration Council on sustainable development, the United Nations' Habitat II, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Brazilian President's Office, the British Prime Minister's Office, the European Academy for the Urban Environment in Berlin and the Organization for Economic and Community Development in Paris on matters of sustainable development and environmental policy.
