General Janet C. Wolfenbarger, USAF Retired, 60, was appointed to our Board in August 2015. General Wolfenbarger has served as a 35 year veteran of the Air Force and was the branch’s first female four star general, where she commanded the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio from 2012 until her retirement on July 1, 2015. General Wolfenbarger also served as the military deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition and as the Service’s Director of the Acquisition Center of Excellence at the Pentagon. General Wolfenbarger also directed the B 2 System Program Office and commanded the C 17 Systems Group for the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright Patterson. After her retirement, General Wolfenbarger was selected to serve as the Chair of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS), as Honorary Co Chair of the Woman in Military Service for America Memorial (WIMSA) Board. She was also selected to serve on the KPMG Board of Directors.
